Continental Validation of an Ethical Framework for Climate- and Environment-Affected Health Research in Africa.

The Africa Bioethics Network (ABN) is conducting a continental validation of an applied ethical framework addressing health research conducted in climate- and environmentally affected contexts across Africa. This virtual consultation brings together stakeholders from across regions, disciplines, and sectors to strengthen the framework's relevance, credibility, and practical application.

About the Framework

The Ethical Integration Framework for Environmentally Sustainable Health Research in Africa was co-created through a multi-stakeholder workshop in Kenya in May 2025. It provides ethical guidance for health research conducted in contexts affected by climate change and environmental pressures.
