Dr. Lucy Wanja Karani is a biomedical scientist specializing in medical immunology, with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (Immunology) from Kisii University. She holds an M.Sc. in Molecular Medicine from JKUAT and a B.Ed. in Botany and Zoology from Egerton University. Currently a lecturer at Kisii University, she brings extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her research focuses on disease immunology, particularly HPV/HIV co-infections, tropical diseases, and bioethics. Dr. Karani is a published scholar and peer reviewer for several scientific journals. She serves on multiple university research and ethics committees, including the Kisii University Scientific and Ethics Review Committee (KISERC). A member of the Bioethics Society of Kenya, she actively contributes to national and regional scientific forums.
