Zadok Maingi
Zadok Maingi is an editorial intern and peer reviewer at the Africa Journal of Bioethics under the Africa Bioethics Network. He currently works at South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU), specializing in public health nutrition. His academic and professional interests focus on the intersection of nutrition and health, ethical research practices and the well-being of vulnerable populations. Mr. Maingi has a strong background in research, academic publishing and has keen interest in ethical issues related to public health and clinical research. He plays a key role in reviewing scholarly submissions, ensuring high editorial standards and supporting the journal’s mission of promoting ethical discourse in healthcare, science and policy.
Beyond his editorial responsibilities, Mr. Maingi is committed to fostering ethical research practices and advocating for the responsible conduct of science and medicine. Through his work with the Africa Bioethics Network, he aims to ensure that ethical considerations remain at the forefront of research and policy development. Mr. Maingi has contributed meaningfully to scholarly discussions on bioethics. In his role as a peer reviewer, he assesses the quality and rigor of research papers and provides constructive feedback to authors and helps maintain the journal’s credibility. Zadok has contributed significantly to mental health research particularly studying the effects of COVID-19 on healthcare workers in Western Kenya and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals
